Feeling Guilty

Feeling Guilty

Ok this is stupid, but I'm such a sucker... I told a photographer (my 2nd choice) we were defintiely going to use her (didn't sign a contract yet though), but the next day I got an amzing offer from from my first choice, and now I feel super guilty for canceling with #2 because she was so excited about it. I couldn't just tell her we found someone better so I lied and said I need to get the OK' form my parents b/c they are paying for the photographer (they aren'treally) and that my dad knows someone who knows a photographer who might be willing to do it for next to nothing.

Has anyone else ever felt guilty canceling a vendor?

I know it's hard but you shouldn't feel guilty for canceling a vendor.
Until it's in writing and you've signed your name on the dotted line and left $$, you don't have to feel obligated to use them.
It's part of this business, they totally understand that these things happen all the time.
I'm glad you booked your first choice!!!

I could imagine that I would feel super guilty if I canceled with a vendor that was never anything but nice to me. It's only natural though... Shows that you have a heart!
I understand why you did it though. Just tell them that you unfortunately can't afford her but love her work and hope to work with her in the future.

I canceled a vendor who was a jerk and I did not feel an ounce of guilt afterwards because he was a real @$$ h0LE!

Don't feel guilty! You have to do what's best for you. And what you told her is perfect because it doesn't hurt her feelings.

Yea it would have been a looot easier if she wasn't so nice hehe.

But I guess its not the first time its happened, and probably won't be the last. I just had to go with my first choice because this is only happening once... I don't want any regrets!

I'm just too sensative...that also makes me a push-over
