Hi Ladies, I wanted to thank you all for being so nice and welcoming me!! Everything about getting engaged has been so wonderful but now that the planning has to start i swear i feel so overwhelmed! I never thought i would feel like this, people laugh and say that i was always meant to be a bride. I have researched things before i was even enagaed and helped all my friends get married and now that its my turn whenever we talk about it get nervous. At the end of the day all i care about is marrying FH, but if i am going to have a wedding i want it to be great. I need some inspiration here ladies

Re: Feeling Overwhelemed
It can definitely be overwhelming. I thought my entire wedding was planned before I was even engaged (lol) and once I got engaged, I had no desire to do anything.
Just take a deep breath and remember that this is supposed to be fun!

Just Relax and when your ready begin your planning. Wait till you start checking out venues and vendors .. that part is overwhelming if you don't know what your looking for or can't decide. Take it slowly and take your time.
That's why we are here for! to help eachother out with the wedding process and just to hear ppl out sometimes.

Re: Feeling Overwhelemed
Just relax.......wedding planning can get very overwhelming and stressful. Just take baby steps into the planning. Start by looking up RH on the computer once you find ones you like then call and make an appointment. Everything will fall into place and when you start to feel stressed just come on here and vent away!

Re: Feeling Overwhelemed
I agree with the other girls. Its important to BREATHE and start out slowly. Don't go crazy thinking everything will be booked- it won't be. Although some vendors will tell you otherwise.
Think about what you want in a RH and you can search online for places that have those things.
Hope it helps! And if you're ever feeling stressed you have FH and us!

Re: Feeling Overwhelemed
Take a step back and take a deep breath. You have only been engaged a very short time. You have plenty of time to bring this wedding together and make it amazing. Enjoy being engaged for a little while first. The newness wears off fast and once that is gone plan your heart away! I took a few months to be engaged first. We talked about what kind of wedding we wanted, looked at our finances and created a budget. From there we found a RH that was in our budget and have slowly been planning since. Enjoy this time, you will never experience it again.

Re: Feeling Overwhelemed
Take your time, plan things out and stay organized. You have plenty of time, I know brides that planned their wedding in 6 months, even 3 months.
Plus... we are all here to help you get through it. Welcome to your support group!

Re: Feeling Overwhelemed
I was super overwhelmed when I first started planning too. I had no clue what I was doing. Thankfully I stumbled across this site because FH didn't want to hear all my ideas all the time and has very limited helpful input. Sometimes I still get overwhelmed and I just take a few days off from planning (but not LIW!).
