Feeling Sad About Shower :(

I've known when my shower is so that's not a problem but just spoke to my mom & she said I have some bad news.....apparently my 2 aunts & a number of cousins have a surprise party on the 'other side' of the family......so none of them will be at my shower. URRRRRR

That knocks out about 10 people!

Also a number of friends I was sure would be at the bachelorette party (that night) said they'll be out of town or its 'hubby's bday' or such. I sad

Aww, sorry Cindy. Actually, I was really sad because a few people who I wanted to be there(including my VERY pregnant BM) couldn't be. But it was okay. First of all, it was so exciting and over whelming, that I didn't have time to feel sad. Second, a lot of people who I'd NEVER thought were going to show, did. So, that wa pretty great!!

it stinks, but it will be okay!! Feel better!!

aww cindy I am sorry. I bet you feel like they dont think ti is important... thats what I would feel like.

If it makes you feel any better a 'drop out' BM of mine told be she would rather go to sleep at 8pm the night of my bachlorette party than go out because she is leaving for VEGAS (she dropped out bc of money issues ) the next morning.

Could they possibly be lying to you so they can give you some kind of surprise, since you already know about when and where the shower actually is? I think it seems too convenient that so many people can't go on that particular day. Just a thought. I hope that's the case! You should have your family and friends there for you!!

Aww, Cin!!!! I told you how there were key people missing from my shower. Most of FH's family wasn't there, one of my aunt's was sick, my step-mom and SIL, and FG are OOT, and even one of my BMs was sick too; so none of them were there. I gotta say that I really missed them, but with everyone else who was able to attend I still had a wonderful time and I know you will too. It's just like everything else, try to focus on the positive!!! Keep that chin up!!
