feeling sad (update)

feeling sad (update)

I just watched my wedding video. It was 3 hours long, but considering the number of times backtracked to watch things over again, it took almost 4 hours!

Anyway, I saw myself walking down the aisle and it was the happiest moment of my life. Now I'm just so sad that the wedding is over. I'm sure there are some of you out there who can relate. I feel like I need to plan another big event to look forward to because I was planning the wedding for SOOO LONG and it's so weird not having something.

Thanks everyone for all your sweet and helpful responses. I actually decided (and DH says its ok!) that this weekend to perk things up around here, I may get another kitten! (I have a year old cat already and she's the second love of my life DH being the first lol) Who thinks that's a good idea? Or is it only a temporary fix

Re: feeling sad

we haven't seen our video yet, but i definitely feel sad that the wedding is over. but at the same time, i feel relief! i do wish i could be planning something and i wish i had more 'projects' but it's so great that DH and i can actually have dates again and we don't have to talk about the wedding! we are going to see a broadway show in a couple of weeks and i'm SO excited because we didn't do stuff like that for a year!

so yeah, i know how you feel, i'm just trying to enjoy being married for now though.

It's funny, I am so frustrated and can't wait for it to be over... However, I know that I will feel exactly the same way as you do once it's all done and over with.

Although, we have so many other things to look forward to... Life is so beautiful and there is so much excitement ahead of us. Lets be positive.

I hear you. We get married in 29 days then go our honeymoon. I feel like in 40 days this will all end and I have nothing to look forward to. My friend felt this way and now she is a part-time wedding planner and makes great $. She is doing our centerpieces. Good luck and don't worry you are not the only one who feels this way!

Aww it's ok to feel nostalgic...even if it just happened not too long ago! Just think, there are MANY more BIG events in your life to happen....just smile and say 'I'm a WIFE'

Im sure i will feel this way too. Ive been planning for over 2 years so its going to be soo weird. Luckily for me though i will have my sisters wedding to help plan. Im hopeing that will keep me occupied.

Honestly, I thought I'd feel that way. I was even depressed before the wedding because I didnt want it to end and was worried about how I'd feel after it was over. But I have to say that I am SO glad its over! I was down in the dumps for a day or two after, but thats about it.

I asked this question about a year ago - when the wedding is over, will I be sad and bored? Probably. But think about all the exciting things to come! Babies??

i totally feel your pain. I was planning the wedding and had so much to do for my job and i love having a million things to do. Now i have nothing to plan and no work until August! I don't know what to do with myself and have no motivation to really do anything. I want to work out, but its so hard to get into a routine. I know i shouldn't be complaining about having time off from work, but i'm the type who would rather be working. This is just a very slow time in my industry. I'm sure it will just take time to get over these post wedding blues!

Sorry you feel sad - try to enjoy your free time and time with your husband - a new kitten would more than likely be a temporary fix but would keep you busy.

I'm having the same worry... what will I do without my little checklist of stuff? What will I have to look forward to? What if the wedding doesn't live up to my monumental expectations, and it's just a 'so-so' day?

Sometimes though, a temporary fix is all you need to get you over the hump and onto something else.

I already know I am going to feel this way... I have thought of doing some wedding stuff ad selling on Ebay now that I have realized a couple things I like to do and am good at.
