Feeling so emotional today

Feeling so emotional today

I have been wrestling with emotions today. It's my sons b-day (he's 6) and although it makes me sad that he's growing so fast, I am so happy that HE is happy and healthy.

I went to his school today for a party and there in the main office was Mrs. Berggren's mailbox...the only empty one. The faculty is walking around in a haze, trying to be strong for their students but obviously so pained.

My sons teacher was a very close friend of Mrs. (JoAnna) Berggren and she went to visit JoAnna's husband in the hospital on Sunday. She said he could not even say his wifes name, he just kept saying 'my wife'...and talking about how he tried his hardest to save her and how they were supposed to grow old together.

I didn't know if it were appropriate that I post this, but we all need to realize how fragile life is. The reality is that we could be gone tomorrow. I know that I am going to make sure that my loved ones are told how important they are to me.

Thanks for letting me talk about this and to all of you wonderful ladies

Stacey! You hit the nail on the head! Life Is fragile, and you never know when its going to be affected, positively or negatively.

THe poor poor husband of Mrs. Berggen, his life has been shattered....how do you pick up the pieces? Life is so delicate..I was in a car accident in 1994...not to get into total details, but I was a passenger...someoene blew a stop sign, hit us head on...but my brother was the driver of our car, and he could not do anything to stop me from getting hurt, he tried, but you are in that frame of mind, and act on impulses, and he still remembers it clearly...

Just think about the mental anguish her husband is going through....he was the one there in her last minutes of life...he did his best, he tired his hardest, but she did not survive it....they will always be in my thoughts and prayers, and I still get a lump in my throat thinking what he has to live with for the rest of his life...each day it will get a little bit better, but it will never be forgotten...

Stace, you are completely normal to feel this way, you are Human...you are compassionate and caring...if you feel the need to cry about it, go ahead and do it, it will help you....but remember, we are always here to listen to you, and help you out...don;t be afraid to express your feelings...we care about you
