Feeling VERY overwhelmed...

Feeling VERY overwhelmed...

I'm hoping most of what I'm feeling is hormones getting the best of me, but lately I've been so blue and stressed that Friday night I thought I was having a m/c.

Work has been HELL for months, I mean real hell, not the 'Oh I can't take the daily b.s.' kind of stuff, major, major problems that make me question my abilities on a daily basis. I was at a client on Friday when the contact decided to have a heart attack during my visit. Her daughter was incapable of handling the situation (understandably) and I had to take control. Meanwhile, the family members (anxious for info) began to call the office and SCREAM at me for not knowing more details (hey, I'm just the Payroll vendor ). I left there and within hours I was having severe abdominal cramps (which I was trying to hide from my husband because he was leaving to go skiing with his buddy and I didn't want to be accused of crying wolf to ruin his good time). So I laid in my room, suffering and crying in silence for hours until he left, trying to calm myself down. The pains eventually subsided (no bleeding of any sort and I felt the baby moving yesterday thankfully). The rest of the weekend, I endured endless calls from family members who were trying to suck me into some trivial drama taking place between select members of the family. I pretty much hung up on them and told them that I had enough of my own problems to contend with - why would you want to incite or stress out a pregant person over true crap?!? Oh yeah and my 'friend' who I have tried and tried unsuccessfully to cut loose called all weekend to ***** me out over the fact that I'm ingoring her 30th (she didn't even acknowledge mine) and not doing enough for it. Get over it already - I'm not going to ki$$ her ass because she's 30 when she didn't even call me on mine!! Not that I care but don't expect things if you don't do for others. You call her machine and she updates daily like a petty child how many days it is until her 30th. I'm not even kidding!!

I feel like I'm being pulled apart at the seams and that everyone is making major demands of my time and energy. I'm ready to call my Doc and see if it's okay to fly. I think I really need to get out of here (even if for a weekend) to see my sister.

Please take care of yourself and don't ignore pains - have them checked out if nothing but for peace of mind! Sometimes getting away is good, and you should be able to fly up until your like 30 weeks. I hope things get better for you

Oh Shammee... I'm so sorry you are going through this right now. At times I feel the same way. Work is just so over powering at times. For the sake of your sanity and that precious angel inside of you, remember to breathe. Everything will work out for itself. As for your work, please don't stress. It's just a job, not your dream (I keep telling myself that). You absolutely did the right thing with your family... Hang up on them, it was insensitive of them to share the family trivia with you. You'll be ok, definetly take that trip to see your sister. Don't even think about it, GO!!!!!

Shamee, you need to turn off your phone and have some quiet alone time. If you can get away please do, some people are so inconsiderate, it always has to be all about them. Think of you and the little one. I am sending you hugs and calming vibes and relaxation.

Oh Shamee!! Take it easy...you're having a rough time right now!

I hope you are feeling better physically...you might want to check in with your dr...if you can get out of here for a little relaxation you should!

I'm sorry to hear about what happened at work. You need to try to relax and take care of yourself for your little one!! As far as the drama with your friends and family -- keep untangling yourself - the last thing you need is that kind of crap! Feel GOOD!!!

I am so sorry you are going through all this.
First off, try to stay away from those who always stress you out. (If you have caller id, screen the calls.)
I wonder what the heck is wrong with people that stress out someone who is pregnant.
Sounds like you definately need a nice weekend away. If you can get away, do it.
You certainly don't need to hear everyone's problems nor do you need to have people blaming you for theirs.
Remember that you have all of us to vent to and to cheer you up whenever we can.
Take care of you and your little baby!

Aw. I am so sorry you are going through all this. The emotional and physical strain on your body and mind during pregnancy is hard enough without everybody else's crap thrown on top of it.

The advice given is good. Steer clear of drama. Seriously, I didnt' answer my phone for the entire 8 months. I am not exaggerating at all - I checked caller id every time and if it wasnt my sister or mom, I didnt' answer it. The friends that I still have after that are the only friends I need.

The 30th birthday girl..I have (had) a friend JUST like that. It's time to weed her out of your life. Get your gardening gloves on and eliminate the pest that is ruining your beautiful garden!

It's not fair that your family is choosing this time to talk to you about drama!! You need to surround yourself with good feelings and people right now. I strongly believe that how you feel gets transfered to the baby. I think it would be a good idea to see your sister if that will relax you a bit!!! Stay strong!
