Fell last night need scar creams please!

OK so clutzy bride to be tripped and put her hand through a window! Tore my arm up pretty good. Got a million stitches

I told the girl in the ER I am getting married this year so can we do this as neatly as possible?

I need a good scar remedy to try and cover some of it!

i don't know the exact which one you should use, but i've been told you used crushed up vitamin k and make like a paste. or vitamin E. good luck! i know the actual 'scare removing creams' can get expensive, so i would look around. i hope you feel better!!!

I have a scar on my cheek where I fell into a corner of a wall 5 yrs ago,..I used mederma. bit costly but eventually think it helped a bit. I would maybe go see a dermatologist/plastic surgeon to make recommendations...Got lucky that I had a plastic surgeon fix me up...28 stitches...5 yrs..I can still see it but barely visible to most...

HTH and prayers your way for speedy healing (BTW NO SUN in that area....will discolor the scar tissue)

ok i dont know if im spelling this right but its called silverdine?? i fell on a grill years ago(i knowstrange) and burned half my arm off through my nerves and everything thats what they gave me in the hospital and it worked great..hth good luck

when i broke my heel, i used cocoa butter. That worked really well.

oh yes!!! my sister has a bad scar from a surgery and she puts zinc on it so it doesn't get discolored.

yikes!! hope you aren't in too much pain! i've heard that Mederma is the best!

BTW - you can be like Padma (do you watch top chef??) she has a HUGE scar on her arm! she's hot

Vitamin E cream or paste and I absolutely swear by the scar strips by curad (in the band aid section). I have a scar on my shoulder from surgery and the dermatologist told me to use them - the scar is almost totally gone!

I had my sister use them after her stomach surgery and her scar is almost gone too!

I've used Mederma and it was expensive... but worked really well. It didnt matter to me how expensive it was, b/c I wanted it to heal right and I didnt want scars for the rest of my life bc I was being cheap LOL!!!! I had burn marks all over arms (at work someone spilled oil on my arms)

the silicone patches are pretty amazing and just vitamin E you can get in the store. . pierce the caplets and put it on. . and just be super consistent. . people tend to stop doing stuff b/c it's a pain but it's worth it to try to avoid the scarring. .and after it's healed a bit.

vitamin E and ALOE.. ALOE is AMAZING. try getting an aloe plant.. if not , get PURE aloe.. and glob it on all day. fh and i swear by it

lots of vitamin E cream.. and that Mederma (sp) stuff works good. I used that for a big scar and I can barely see it now.

you need to keep your stitches super duper dry while they are healing. once your wound is healed completely!!!! (to avoid infection) you can start applying something to help lighten it. the most important thing is that the wound heals properly. then make sure you always have sunblock on it. this really helps. if you don't use sunblock it will continue to be poofy and red. so spf all the way. and you can use a pin to pop a vitamin e capsule and apply that twice a day. and use a really thick cream like eucrin. good luck !!

I had a pretty bad scar a few years ago. When it wouldn't go 'away' my dr injected it with a steroid. It hurt like hell, but the swelling on the scar totally went away and there's no sign of it anymore at all. I'd check with your doctor on what he/she recommends.

I am so sorry this happened to you. Try maderma. But you have to wait until a month after it heals to start it. Put bacitracin on your wounds now though- keep them moist and you should be fine.
