Did anyone ever get one? I know the Dopplers are the only ones that really work and am sure it is a waste of money but wanted to see if anyone has done it!!!!
I think I would love to hear the hearbeat but not sure I want to spend $30-$40 a month--although I did find one you could piurchase for $149
Any feedback?

Re: Fetal Heart Beat Monitors
I saw one in Motherhood that was cute - not sure how good it was since it was only $24 but I was planning to buy it and try.
Another brand I heard of was BabyBeat but I'm not sure on their cost.

I had bought one at BRU for like $25 or so and it didn't work at all so I returned it. All I ever heard was tons of static.

Yeah the cheaper ones I have heard they are pretty bad and of course the doppler ones are the expensive ones!!!!

I rented one for $28.00 per month and had it for 3 months. I absolutely loved it! It definitely was worth it. I am a worry wart, and that was my way of getting through the rough months. I was able to hear the baby's heartbeat whenever I wanted to.

My SIL always rents them online. She pays about $30/month and they work well. I have seen her use it. I can ask her what site she uses if you are really interested.

Babybeat.com - $25 a month in 2002
I had one for 5 months when I was pregnant. It was wonderful to know I could hear her heart beating any time I wanted. It worked VERY WELL!!!

Re: Fetal Heart Beat Monitors
Someone gave me a BebeSounds fetal heartbeat monitor that I can also use to play music to the baby. So far, I haven't been able to hear the heartbeat and I have yet to play music to the baby! I'll let you know if I think it works well once I get a chance to use it.

Re: Fetal Heart Beat Monitors
I think you can rent them and I was going to when I was preggo with Luke but my OB said something that made alot of sense to me. The ones you can rent or buy are such inexpensive versions of the one they use at the doctor's office, which costs about $700-800. So you can't expect to get the same quality. Alot of people freak themselves out when they don't hear the heartbeat with the store bought version. I didn't bother and then once you feel the baby move, that's all you need. Hoewvere, since I didn't do it, I am not speaking from experience about the quality of sound. If you are interested in renting, try a google search for renting them. Let us know what you do.

Alvatorre you will NOT be disappointed. As long as you can hear the heartbeat at the Dr.'s office you will be able to find the baby. Just make sure you arent finding your artery and you are finding the baby

I bought the BabyBeat one and was not one ounce disappointed - I loved it. I loved the ability to sit down at any moment and hear that little heartbeat beating away. Totally worth the purchase if you are planning more than 1 baby.
