FFIL

So my future father in law tells me tonight that he is planning on wearing a white tuxedo jacket to the wedding.....am i right to be a little pissed at this??? my dress is IVORY.

1st...no one should wear white or ivory but me...2nd...im wearing ivory...is it not going to 'match' will it look lame-O in pics??

Am I being unreasonable??? How can i avoid this drama??

I am sorry you are upset!!!

Can you talk to him or have FH talk to him. I am NOT sticking up for him but men are usually dumb about this stuff. When speaking to the men in my family they thought all the men would be in white jackets apparently this used to be a common thing for weddings in nice weather. And when chating with my grandfather one day he didnt even know it was rude for other woman to wear white to the wedding.

Hope this works out and FFIL wears a nice dark jacket

yeah im definately going to give him a crash course in wedding etiquette....

This is the first real weddding 'drama' i've had to deal with, I'm afraid it's the first of many.

oohhhhhhh man...I would be upset too if I were told this but don't get all stressed out if it were me I would just tell FH how I feel about it and have him talk to his dad and i'm sure he would totally respect your feelings. Good Luck!!
