If my dress is Ivory should my FG's also have ivory or does it not matter? My twin nieces (FG's) are making their first communion May09 so I was thinking if they could use the gown 2x that would be great but that would prob have to be white white.....
I am almost at 100 posts yay!

Re: FG dress ?
You can do whatever you want but I wouldn't have my fgs wear white if I was wearing off white. Just my opinion.

Re: FG dress ?
I think if you are wearing ivory or off white then your FG should not be in white because you'll really notice the difference in pictures

Re: FG dress ?
My dress isn't white white...but my FG's dress is. I had the choice of ivory or white for her dress and I picked white.

Re: FG dress ?
My 'little girls' are wearing red like the Bridemaids - you could always put them in another color altogether if you want!

Re: FG dress ?
Personally, I'd let them wear their communion dress. No sense having their parents shell out money for both.
As far as it looking 'off' in pictures - is it really going to matter to you? For some people it does matter - but will it matter to you?

Re: FG dress ?
My only concern with having them wear white when your wearing ivory is that in pics your dress may appear 'dingy' next to something stark white.

Re: FG dress ?
There may be too much of a color contrast btw fg and your dress.

Re: FG dress ?
I think having them use their ommunion dresses is a great idea. i don't think it will be bad that their dress is white and your's is ivory...as it was suggested though a sah in your wedding color might off-set any difference.

Re: FG dress ?
I would do ivory so that if they were wearing white it would not make your gown look 'dirty'- it wouldn't look right in pictures imo.

Re: FG dress ?
i don't think it's a problem for them to wear white, especially if it means they save $!

Re: FG dress ?
IMO I would go with Ivory. I know it would be great for the girls to save $ but it would look better if they matched your gown.
