Not sure if this has been discussed before...but I was wondering does the couple pay for the FG dress? Or do the parents of FG pay?
IF the parents pay.... in your opinion what do you think is acceptable/reasonable for parents to pay for dress and shoes?

Re: FG dress
the parents usually pay but its up to you if you want to pay for it.
I would say $150-$200 for dress and shoes is good, some spend much less.
My FG dress was more bc my aunt told me money was no object and actually picked out a more expensive dress for my goddaughter.

That's what I figure but I wasn't sure...my FG is my FH god daughter and $$ has not been discussed. I figure I tell them $100 for shoes and dress and I put the difference if any.Plus she will be getting her hair done @ no charge...gift from me...I hope!

Re: FG dress
Our FG is FH's neice and his sister (her mother) is paying for the dress. I hope they are not spending a lot of money. I just mentioned that it should be in white to match me and to not have any other colors on it so I can purchase a colored sash. I trust her!

FH and I are buying the FG dress (his niece)
I have seen some upwards of $200-$300 but I've seen so many online that are just as adorable that cost less.
I'm having the sash made from the same fabric as the BM dresses (it was only $15 a yard) so I only need a simple white dress for her. Raw silk looks amazing for FG dresses and I love pearl buttons on the back. I am such a sucker for little girl clothes.

Re: FG dress
My aunt is paying for my cousin's , she is spending about 160 on each girl. When I saw this dress I almost thought I couldnt get it bc of the price and the fact that she is getting 2, but my mom's exact words were 'if it were anyone but your aunt (name) i would say find another, but the way she spends money dont worry'. You don't have to pick some thing real cheap, but if you think the fg's fam can afford it you can go a little bit more.

Re: FG dress
I wasn't sure about this myself but the parents paid for the dress. I feel horrible having them pay $100 plus for a dress, so someone on this site suggested www.flowergirldress4u.com The dresses are very cute and the material is good quality.
