FG dresses (with pics) and a poll (UPDATE!!!!!)

I went to the store yesturday to pick out a FG dress and get her measured. The lady at the shop said I have to pay extra, since she has to put a rush order on it. I have 4 months exactly till my wedding. Did anyone on here order that late.

Here are my 3 choices. My niece is in love with the first dress, and I am not really crazy about it. The first time she tried on this dress was about 4 months ago, and she remembers it still.

I WENT TO THE BRIDAL SUITE IN CENTEREACH AND THEY SAID THERE IS NO RUSH CHARGE FOR JUNE, THAT I HAD PLENTY OF TIME.
I CALLED MY SISTER TO SEE IF I SHOULD ORDER THE FIRST DRESS THAT MY NEICE IS IN LOVE WITH. SHE SAID SHE DID NOT LIKE THAT DRESS, AND TO ORDER ANOTHER ONE. SHE SAID SHE WOULD GET OVER IT. SO I ORDERED THE SECOND DRESS. BRIDAL SUITE MATCHED THE PRICE I GOT, AND I GOT A GOOD PRICE. THIS DRESS WILL LOOK BETTER WITH ALL ARE DRESSES, I JUST HOPE MY NEICE DOESN'T FLIP OUT. WE ARE JUST GOING TO TELL HER THAT THEY DIDN'T MAKE THE DRESS SHE WANTED ANYMORE.

I like the top of the 1st one, but not the ruffled skirt, so I chose 2. I like the block of color on the bottom.

personally I do not see why 4 months is not enough for a flowergirl dress, but who knows with these stores... I ordered in Jan and they said it would be in April. Did you try another store? see what they say?

the first one was the dress i originally chose, BUt cancelled because I found one that was perfect because it had the box pleats like mine and the BMS, BUT I really do love the first one!

I really like the 2nd one.

Phyllis at gownfind should be able to order it for you w/o a rush order & I'm sure she'll save you money also. She's at gownfind.com

You definitely shouldn't be charged extra for a rush order. I would suggest going to a different salon. FG dresses should not be ordered any earlier than 4 months b/c the children grow so quickly!

Otherwise, I love number 2 - beautiful.

I think it is adorable and I am a sucker for kids so I know it is YOUR day but I would want my FG to be happy too and feel like a doll.
JMO- If you really don't like it then don't get it though.

I really the second one. IMO I think your neice likes the 1st one because it swings. We were all little girls once and I am sure we all enjoyed the effect of being in a dress and spinning around in it

When I asked the woman at a wdding salon when to order the fg dress.. she said about 3 months before since they can grow too much over long periods of time

Thanks! I am going to go to a different store and ask. This salon was different from the place I bought my dress and BM from. I have her measurements, so maybe I will contact Phyllis from gown find.
If you order a dress, where do you get it altered?

We ordered our FG dress less than 4 months in advance and were not charged a rush order. That's ridiculous!

Anyway, I like #2 best!

That is exactly why she likes it. She likes the other dresses, but the bottoms don't twirl like the first dress. I really like #2, it looked so nice on her.
