My FH's sister does not have a lot of money. The dress I love is 150 dollars. Can I give that to them and then not give an attendant gift.. considering that is kind of the gift?? I figure I will also get the photographer to take a nice picture of FG and her family and I would put that in an 8x10 for them after the wedding. Is that OK?

Re: FG gift question
that would be fine, you coupld probably find something inexpensive for a gift for her though if she is going to be there when you give the gifts to the other attendants so she doesn't feel left out

Re: FG gift question
I think that's a really nice idea....the picture too would be most appreciated afterwards. Maybe get a little token gift just so the girl gets something when all other gifts are being handed out....

Yes, I agree with the others also about the small gift.

Re: FG gift question
Yeah, i guess i will get her something small. I mean she is only going to be 3. thanks guys! I really don't want to make FH's sister pay for her dress which will cost 250 by the time alterations are done (i don't know what to do about shoes yet) and her husband's tux and a FG dress on top of that, really they have NO money. thanks!

Re: FG gift question
That would be really nice and thoughful! We're doing that for the tuxes b/c the groomsmen don't have much money either.

Re: FG gift question
The dress can be the gift.
The FG will love the dress and take it as a present. She will feel like a princess. Especially if you give her a photo later.

Re: FG gift question
also you can wait until after easter to buy the dress for the fg..usually big sale then.
for my two girls, i'm getting them a precious moment figurine (it's a 'maid of honor' but soo cute..have to get it for them)....
