FG Help, please...

Hi, I usually don't post here, I'm from the 2010 board but I could really use a larger audience for this poll.

I read your other 'rant/rave' but I think the FG should wear whatever YOU select for her. The issue here seems more like a FSIL issue and I almost feel bad for your poor FG that she has to be brought into the mix because of her selfish mom!! Sorry you are dealing with it.

Any ideas on how to tell FSIL that I really can tell them what to wear? She asked me last night if I was Hitler!!!

I'm a special ed teacher who is used to dealing with kids on the elementary level and still, I can't deal with this woman.

Kim when I was a little girl in my Aunts wedding as the FG I didnt wear white I wore the same color as the BM. But that was 1986 and people werent crazy about this stuff like now. Its your wedding and you should be able to do what YOU want not what everyone else wants.

Why dont you show her pictures of cute little flower girls in different color dresses? Maybe she thinks they all wear white. My color scheme has green and I'm totally thinking of little green dresses for them.

I HATE when the FG wears white/is a mini me. IMO there should be only one person wearing white that day.

I totally agree!!!

Just like the Jr. BMs -- the FG can wear a little tiny (age appropriate) version of the BM dresses.

ITA!

the ONLY way mine will wear white is if I get them white dresses with some sort of sash on them in the BP colors... they will not match me. (at first I wanted them too, but I decided no).

yes, FGs are cute and everyone wants to look at them and ooh and ahhh... coochi coochi coo.. blah blah blah.. but 2 seconds later.. ITS ALL ABOUT THE BRIDE!

and honestly, she's not going to remember what color/style dress she wore 10 years from now!
I wore white in my uncles wedding when I was 2.. the only reason I know that is because of pictures...
for my aunt I wore purple that matched the BMs... and my mother will tell you, I wore that dress from age 7- 11... I played dress up, wore it on easter, halloween, etc.

tell your FH to tell your FSIL that if she doesn't pull her head out of her arse that she is not invited. end of story!
tell FH you two need to be a team and that you will not be bullied by her.

As of now she has told FH that FG can wear a red and WHITE dress. I told FH that there is no way that FG can wear white.

I just might copy and paste all your replies and email them to FH.
