awwwwe sweetie :( maybe you could convince them that cooking for 80 people will be a lot more difficult than they think it will be, and probably LESS expensive... did they say why they didnt want to?
Didn't his parents say that they would let you have a birthday party for FH at their house and then at the last minute cancel it on you guys and now they are trying to tell you this ... why do they always go against their words !!! I would be pissed and learn that they are not reliable people !!! like lmt245 said just try and enjoy the 4th and maybe you can talk about it tommorrow.
Definitly do not freak.... right now whats most important is your grandmother... just focus your time and energy on her.... When your in a better place mentally talk to his parents... ask how they plan on cooking for 80 people... maybe they have a good plan....try to give them the benefit of the doubt.... However if it's not making sense maybe you'll have to take matters into your own hands and pay for it to be catered... Good Luck,.
