Re: FH....

thanks everyone.. He works in export which means all the work is over by JFK... This is a real serious issue since we make over 6 figures a year TOGETHER... But with only half of that right now, We don't see how this wedding can happen in July.. He's more concerned about the wedding than anything else. I think it's kind of funny actually... He's the one kickin and screaming and crying.. but it is what it is.. I gotta be strong!!!

Glad I didn't order any of the personalized stuff with the date on it yet.. grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

I am so sorry to hear about that! It does suck and every day I pray that I am not next. It will get better, it has too...

Re: FH....

I'm just glad my job is secure, it's a federally funded job. I'm a social worker for Head Start so at least I'm secure.. but sheesh!! It's so hard to get work in his field to start with and now with the economy going the way it is.. NOT A GOOD LOOK FOR US..

I'm so sorry! Just keep the faith and don't let him get pigeon holed into only applying for the job he just had. If he's creative and looks for new markets he'll be more successful at finding a new job.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I went through the same thing.

Take a few days to let it sink in, and then you and FH have some difficult decisions to make.

You can either scale back the wedding or push it back. keep in mind, you do need to make this decision fairly quickly because July is only 4 months away.

Many of your vendors may not give you your deposit back, and I am sure you've already laid out alot of money towards the RH already.

Perhaps you can borrow money from your parents? Can you cut the guest list? Postpone the honeymoon?

Whatever you do, I am so sorry you are going through this. I am sure it will all work out one way or another.

Re: FH....

We'll probably just push the wedding back a few months. We're going to the RH tonite to talk to them.

Borrowing money is not an option for us.. We'd borrow if it were a crisis, an emergency.. but for a wedding that can be pushed back, that's just something we don't do.. the wedding can wait. I'm 30 and FH's 40, to borrow money just because we can't have our dream wedding when we want to have it is a little insane.. lol

Thank you all for your well wishes.. I will keep you posted..
