Does anyone else have a FH who is freakin addicted to nfl madden????? I am sooooo sick of him playing this stupid videogame every freakin day! When I try to discuss wedding things with him he completely ignores me and says hes busy and I am going to make him lose! Seriously you care more about your video game than the wedding?!?!?!?! It really hurts my feelings like ***! I am so ready to chuck the xbox out of the window!

I'm so sorry but I totally when I read this! FH is ALWAYS either gaming, on the computer or watching TV. I need to actually shut everything off in order for him to have a conversation and remember half of it! I am just so used to it at this point, and I know how to go about our conversations to make sure things stick...it took almost 2 years of us living together to get there though!

his gaming is only bad really when madden comes out so every yr around this time it gets bad then dies down and gets normal again...but since we r planing an f-in wedding it just bothers me a whole lot more! if we werent planning a wedding i would prefer him on most days to play so he would leave me alone but i actually need him around for his input. seriously it has gotten so bad i have to make appointments with my own fiance!!!! really??? so if ur FH is playing and you want his attention what do you do just turn everything off?

oh gosh thank goodness he's not. he has all these gaming systems but he never plays them. he does play warcraft of starcraft or whatever that stupid game is on the computer. he tries to hide it from me but i know what you're doing!!!

My FH is the same way. I don't see him all day and yesterday he got home b4 me. He was in the shower when i came home. He comes down and says im going to play Madden. well thanks alot. Nice talking to you too! I hate friggin videogames when im trying to talk to u. I know what ur going through

FH isnt into games but he is addicted to fantasy sports. I thought it was only football but its baseball too! he is either watching the games on tv constantly...or he is at the computer changing his lineup or whatever that crap is. so frustrating!!!

ummm.... Yeah... I guess we've been living together so long I just pick & chose my battles! I know to find good times to talk to him, I know how insane his job is, he's been known to work 80+ hours in one week many times, so whatever he needs to do to decompress! I have been known to turn off the TV when we needed to discuss important issues, not recently though... What I would do is actually touch him on his shoulder and wait until he was looking at me and say I'm shutting off the TV so that we can discuss this issue... and that works for us! Getting him to remember things is a different story, but as I said on another thread, my Father says that men can't remember things because they don't have vaginas!
