That's awesome! I LOVE Vegas! If FH didn't want a big wedding so badly I would totally just go to Vegas. They have really nice hotels out there, it doesn't have to be the old Elvis impersonator that everyone pictures lol!

Re: FH and I decided...
Okay so I'm definitely the odd one out here but... please make sure this is truly what you think is best before you go do it. This is your wedding and is not supposed to be something you do to spite anyone, especially your parents, the people who raised you from when you were just a little baby. I'm a real family person and so is FH, and I've had some MAJOR problems with my parents (mostly my dad) over the years (bc FH and I were very young when we got engaged), to the point where I once thought I may not have any wedding at all. My dad wouldn't speak to FH for years. But issues were worked out and now my parents are giving me the wedding of my dreams at The Garden City Hotel, and FH and my dad are best buds. I'm not saying it should be exactly like that, but I strongly urge you to sit down with your parents and find out exactly what is upsetting them. They may have some unfounded reasons for being upset, or there may be some legitimate concerns there. Either way, they are your family and they will be heartbroken if/when you elope. I'd hate for you to never speak to your parents again over something that is supposed to be wonderful and the most special thing in your life. So I'm not being judgmental, nor am I trying to say you're doing something 'wrong,' I'm just taking the devil's advocate here and expressing how impt family is and asking you to do some soul searching before you go through with it. Hope you do what is best for you in the long run. (Don't forget - the wedding is one day but the future is your life. Be sure to consider future children and family events when you make this decison.)

Im glad you said it first. I didnt know how to approach it or if I should say anything at all. I tend to feel like sometimes parents will have a better outlook on things that you may not see. I dont know if Im wording that right though. Either way, marriage is a huge thing and rather than rushing through it cause you are pissed at your parents, maybe you should think it through. Talk to them, find out what their issues with the wedding are and take a look from the outside.
