FH and I went on a lil adventure today..

We have a lot of time in between the ceremony and reception (ceremony is at 330.. CH at 7).. so today we went looking around for places to take pics that are reasonably priced (OWG was waaaaaay out)..

we went up by cold spring harbor and found a few nice spots on the water (the museum we went to was closed so we couldn't ask if we needed a permit or anything to take pics)

we ended up really liking tanglewood preserve in the lakeview/malverne area.. the place doesn't look great to the naked eye, but the pics we took really came out nice..

the best part, its only $50 bucks to get a permit...

tomorrow we are going to look in bethpage and the nassau county museum of art in roslyn to see how much it costs..

if any one has any ideas for any great (and cheap!) picture locations, please let me know!!

Garden City Gazebo - free
Valley Stream Village Green - free
Eisenhower park - $50 for permit holders, $100 for non-permit holders

The grounds at the Nassau county museum of art. We did our e-pics here and no permit was needed. The grounds are very nice and they have cute little statues and stuff that would be cute to work with in pics as well.
I suggest taking a drive to see them if the area is in a good location for you to get to.
I don't know the hours though.
