FH Bachelor party!!!! What to do???

My FH is going to have his bachelor party, my father wants to go but my fh does not want him there, what do you guys think??

i think you are the best person to explain that even though there will most like be nothing sordid going on, FH wants to relax and have a good time with his buddies without worrying about what his FFIL is going to think/say/do! not that your dad will think/say/do anything bad - but you know what i mean, i hope!!

I would say No too, especially if he hasn't invited his own dad to it. Not that all bachelor parties end up in a stripper joint,, but it's a possibilty. I wouldn't want my dad tagging along and thiking what the heck is going on here. It would be weird for me.

What kind of party are they having? I can see it both ways... but I don't think he's obligated to invite your dad at all.

My dad went to both of my brother's bachelor parties -- well, most of them. He played golf and went out to dinner with them and then went home when they went out drinking with their friends.

We are having our jack & jill bach party tomorrow. We're meeting and ending at my parents' house. They're getting breakfast for every one and the we're going with our friends wine tasting for the day (without my parents). We're comeing back to my parents' house for a BBQ -- and of course my parents will be there.

i agree. i'd sit down with your dad and let him know that you just don't thin your FH will have a good time and feel a little awkward having his FFIL there. it will almost seem like FFIL is there to like 'chaperone' and make sure he's not doing anything bad!

we had that situation w/ my best friend and her MIL- we actually all had dinner together before, and then her FMIL left- I explained to her that while my friend loved her very much, she wanted didn't want her MFIL's opinion of her to be affected if she wanted to drink with her friends

my dad went to the dinner the night before and then was offered to go to the stripper part, but he didn't---
he went to my sister's husbands' bachelor party years ago and didn't judge anything...didn't 'snitch' either on whatever went on...i don't think it's such a bad thing...
jesus---what are they gonna be doing anyway??!!!

kinda keeps them in check a lil too no?

Just tell your dad that it's only going to be his friends and that they are going to be out till all hours of the night. My FH dad wanted to go and he felt really bad telling him that, but he really didn't want him there!
