FH broke his ankle yesterday: UPDATE-WE JUST GOT HOME FROM THE DR.

He is in a cast and may have to have surgery. We are going to find out tomorrow. I am so upset.

UPDATE: IT TURNS OUT THAT IT WASN'T A FRACTURE OR A BROKEN ANKLE. IT'S A SEVERE ANKLE SPRAIN AND HE TORE SOME LIGAMENTS SO HE DOESN'T NEED SURGERY THANK GOODNESS!!! HE JUST HAS TO REST AND STAY OFF HIS FEET AND LET THE SPRAIN HEAL.

to you and FH! I broke my ankle last year, so I know how badly it hurts! And ontop of breaking it, I had the embarrassment of the fact that I fell down the stairs to cause it!

OMG - I am so sorry Angela! I hope Mike is ok and doesnt need surgery. How did it happen? My brother broke his ankle a few years ago so I know how much he was uncomfortable with it.

thanks girls. he slipped at his job and i took the day off tomorrow because he has to go back to the doctors. we'll find out more tomorrow if he needs surgery or not. i'm crossing my fingers he doesn't. i am so lucky to have such a nice principal and co-teacher that understand. tomorrow is my first day back at work after the break and i had to call and let them know i wasn't coming in.

I am very sorry that he is hurt but very happy to hear it was not broken and that he doesn't need surgery. His recovery will be much easier than if he broke something.

I hope he feels better soon. Will he need physical therapy?

Glad to hear everything is ok. Tell FH to be careful. Now is not the time to be in a cast.
