So I was talking to FH about making a DJ appointment, he proceeds to tell me that I need to take a chill and I'm booking things too fast. Then he goes on an absolute TYRADE about the colors, how he hates them, and how can I make him choose those colors. It was unreal... guess he really cares more than I think...

at the beginning FH told me i was rushing into booking vendors but last weekend i went to see a florist and this past week FH was on the phone with the florists trying to make a deal and being really involved trust me he will be sooner or later!! I am soo proud of my FH because he's been really great lately doing lots of wedding related things! We ended up booking our florist this weekend lol

Well to be honest he probably doesn't care about the colors as much as he hates pink
It is my favorite color and if i had a choice my whole wedding would be that color but FH said no way

I told FH in the very beginning that I want his opinion, but I have final say on color scheme. I know it's both our wedding, but I truly think the girl should get to pick the colors without the groom making a fuss. Just dont make him wear a pink vest and he should keep quiet : ) I dont mean this in a rude way at all
LOL then he said I embarressed him by getting into an argument at my parents house on christmas about the colors. The fight wasn't even about that, it was about photogrophy and it was him and my dad against me and my stepmom...

ITA he really wouldn't have to wear pink anyway that would be the GM, he would wear white or ivory

can i just tell you we were having a HUGE color discussion with fsil and her fiance and to my surprise they really do care about colors!!! i though guys couldnt care less.... yeah well after fsil's fiance 'i hate brown' tyrade, i guess they do!!

I think FH asks me about colors every other day...When I come up with a color he asks me what the second color will be!! I finally told him he has to start because I was getting close to a nervous breakdown

My FH cares too. You are not alone. I had to get swatches and show him options. I'm happy he cares but he can be a pain sometimes.

This was one thing FH has absolutely no say over. But he knew this from the get-go cuz i'm obsessed with purple and must have it lol.
Maybe Fh was really frustrated about sometihng else and just wanted to start a stupid argument

Typical guys - one minute care then another they don't care. You're definitely not booking things to fast, you only have a year!!! Don't worry, this is a stressful time but you will both get through it.

FH said he didn't care as long as his guys don't wear pink. so i told him they can wear green since my colors are pink & green.

I'm sorry you're having this problem. Unfortunately I can't relate. FH couldn't care less. In the beginning I told him 'You can have as much or as little input as you want, but you need to tell me now.' He wanted input on RH, food, and music. That was pretty much it.
I actually showed him your post last night after I first read it and asked him 'You really don't mind red for the wedding colors right?????' He was like, where is this coming from. I explained the post and his response was 'I really don't care. If it was something completely hideous, I'd tell you. But do what you want.'
But I would come to an agreement with him asap on how much say he really wants and what parts he wants input on.
