FH DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHY US BRIDE TAKE TIME TO SIT AND TALK ABOUT THINGS ON LIWEDDINGS ,THINGS LIKE WHAT COLOR UNDERWEAR WE ARE WEARING ON OUR WEDDING DAY, HOW MUCH OUR FMIL GET ON OUR NERVES , WHY WE LOVE A VENDOR, THE CRAZY THING THAT GOES ON IN OUR HEADS I PUT IT LIKE THIS TO HIM;
'NO ONE UNDERSTAND THE MIND OF A BRIDE BUT ANOTHER BRIDE THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT WE GO THROUGH EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR A WHOLE YEAR WHILE WE PLAN THIS WEDDING I MEAN ITS BAD ENOUGH THAT YOU MEN ARE NO HELP, BUT YOU TEASE US, TO MAKE FUN OF OUR OBSESSIONS AND ON EDGY ATTITUDE'
IS THIS HAPPENING TO YOU OR IM I THE ONLY PERSON THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO?

FH NEVER EVER understand...but it sll goes into marriage as well. You're DH will NEVER understand why you still go on LIW after ur married! Just wait & see :o) 'the best is yet to come' lol

My FH has come to understand why I need LIW. One of the girls who works for me asked me today what I'll do after we're married since I can't go on LIW. I was like, hel l yess I can! There's a section for newlyweds and then there's LIF too! I wouldn't make it to the wedding without all of the girls on here.

Even my MOH makes me feel annoying when I talk to her about details of the wedding. This site is so great! I told my FH about it and he thinks it's nice to have this outlet. It is so true that no one can understand a bride but another bride!!

Yeah...my MOH is the same way...LOL
I also just wanted to say its good to see another person who joined on 1/07 and only has like 130 something posts...some girls have 1000 already and joined around the same time...how did they do that????

I hear you, he just doesnt get it and you are right, no one else except another bride understand the obsession, so I dont even try anymore

you are sooo right ~ FH thinks it is weird & does not understand why I ask him questions about a cake topper, unity candle or the color shirt he is wearing ~ I totally agree no one understands 'bride brain' only a fellow bride will understand ~ that is why I am soo happy to chit chat about wedding stuff with my MOH (she is getting married 3 weeks after me) + then I need to chit chat more and I am a LIW addict!

The other thing is, if I can talk about the wedding on here, FH doesn't have to hear about all of the crap running through my mind. So really, this site is a huge help to FHs all over LI!

I hear ya.... I joined LIW b/c I thought it would be resourceful especially since I don't live in LI, I'd ask other brides from the area for advice. Now I'm hooked! I'm not really the Bridezilla, I have enough on my plate to think of the wedding all the time. My MOH is my sister and she's been doing a great job at keeping me on task and helping me make decisions. FH is wonderful! At first his attitude was, 'all I have to do is show up' since I started making decisions, he has more feedback. So now, I always ask him for second opinions or for his ideas. He chose the DJ, venues, limo and a few other favors... LOL I did the rest!!!! Of course I have his constant wanting to be more involved.... I love them both!

Let me tell you, my FH was bitching yesterday about being on the computer for an hour...I have gotten some great advice from this site and because of it...I have figured out so many ways to cut down costs. I told my FH that and he said, 'Well stop talking and get on that damn website!' Ha ha ha
