FH doesn't like my dress

So, I am sitting on the computer looking at the dress I purchased yesterday when FH sneaks up behind me and goes ugh... I ask him why and he tells me I don't like the dress you are looking at. Once I told that it was my dress he got so upset for making me feel bad.

What do I do now?

If I convince the bridal shop not to order the dress and let me try on others, I will tear them all apart in my head. I will wonder each time if he is going to hate it. If I keep the dress it will always be in the back of my head that he doesn't like it.

The dress does look different in the picture on the model then it did on me. He wants to come with me to see it on. Neither of us believe that it is bad luck. Hell, at this point it may be bad luck for him not to see it.

I am untraditioal..I would let him see it in you


The same thing happened to me..I really thought I loved this dress (I can admit now it was impractical for me) and showed it to me Fi...He said he did not like it but he also did not think it was me...becasue I was telling him there were too many structrual things I wanted to alter with the dress



I ended up getting a great dress after that...so ti all worked out in the end

i keep telling my FH that i am going to show him photos of like 8 dresses to make sure he doesn't do exactly what just happened with you.

although its not traditional, i'd take him with you.

but the question is... do you LOVE the dress? does is it make YOU feel wonderful? If the answer is yes, I think you need to think about whether you really want to change it.

your FH is going to think you are beautiful comin down that aisle no matter what.

I also showed FH pics of my top 3 dresses and said which one is more'me' and he picked the dress I had already bought so I was happy..screw bad luck ...

I think you should show him some pics and see what he likes..I also think when he sees you on that day in the dress, the picture will be just a memory..I'm POSITIVE of that!

So how much is it stressing you? If it's a lot...dont order it..its not worth the stress....If you LOVE that dress then go with it, I swear he will not say 'ew' when he sees you!

Thanks for the advice. I feel a little better. Still not positive what I am going to do but I have until 12:00 pm to decide. The bridal shop does not open until then.
