Go with him to try on a nice suit. Personally, I dont see the difference between the two. I told FH i'd rather him buy a nice suit for the wedding, that way he can wear it over again. So see how he looks in a nice suit, maybe you'll like how it looks, and it'll make him happy. The way I see it, we go crazy looking for our perfect dress, why shouldnt they wear the suit/tux they want. (within reason though)

I would go with him to try on some tuxes and suits. You never know, after seeing himself in it he could change his mind. He at least owes you that much! You have a lot of time before that decision needs to be made. I guess its easier for a guy to choose his suit/tux then a bride to choose the dress. He may decide in 10 months that he likes a tux better or you could actually like him in the suit! Good Luck!

well they do have designer tuxes, he doesn't have to get a standard tux if he doesn't like it. Maybe look at canali, armani and whomever he likes...Try tuxedo park they carry alot of the big named designers.

haha we should switch men! JK. I am not big on tuxes and wanted FH to wear a nice suite, but he is insisting on a tux. I learned that I can't force him to wear a suite and have to give him this one. At least he doesnt want to wear a bow tie!!! :) And you never know, when he goes to the rental place, he may be shown a tux that he really likes and chage his mind!

honestly - FH didnt like the idea of a tux either, but i think he was just thinking of what he wore for prom!
we went to check out some tuxes and he really likes the pinstripe ones they have. . . they were some designer that i cant think of right now - but he really liked it
i bet if he goes and sees what they have, he may change his mind!

what if he gets a tux that has a tie instead of a bowtie? my FH said he'd only wear a tux if he had a tie. that's what i wanted anyway.
