I am getting FH an engagement present - I think I am going to take him on a weekend trip to Atlantis and then buy him like a watch or something while we are there - he has everything else!

i think there was a thread about it a while back or maybe i read about it somewhere, but i've been feeling soooo guilty ever since. i'm trying to plan a getaway for after tax season.... maybe that can be his present!

I am getting him something also. I will be giving it to him at our engagement party. I think I'm getting him a piece of jewelry or a watch. I wanted to get him something he could keep forever and possibly something he can pass down if we have a son

It's pretty much up to you, In my family it has been a tradition to give the guy a ring also, but my FH hates rings so I bought him a movado watch instead

I think that is becoming sort of a modern tradition. I don't know what to get FH. He doesn't need anything and he has tons of jewelery.

I was thinking about getting FH something special to give him on Aug. 15 (one year til our wedding) or Aug 22 (one year anniversary of being engaged). When we got engaged I was not expecting it so I didn't have any kind of money saved up for something big. I did make a nice gift for him though to acknowledge our engagement.

you girls are awesome.... hahaha we had talked about this before we got engaged and i said that i feel bad that i'll be getting a beautiful ring, and he gets nothing. so he came up with a 60' LCD 1080 P Sony.... hahaha he's dreaming! he said that he'll wait until we have a house!
