He wasnt trying to be cute or anything by saying Oh you're ex is in the daily news. He actually knew his father etc. It's weird how him and my ex knew of each other.
Anyway, I love FH but the article about my ex really made me think about him. Sometimes I do wonder what would have happened with us. BUt I know it wasn't supposed to be....
Just wanted to share it with you guys. I would never leave FH for anyone, I just had to get it off my chest. And I sent the link to the article to my mom and she called me saying 'he was always such a good boy, I always knew he would do well' I guess I'm just being reminiscent right now...

yes i can def understand that... i went through the same feelings with my ex... but in the end, theres a reason why we broke up Its okay to feel thay way, just dont let it overcome you to the point where you're questioing your rel with fh.... it may be easy to fall into that trap

WOW! it's easy to wonder at a time like this 'what might have been'. Nothing wrong with wondering that either! But there's definitely a reason you guys broke and you wound up with FH!! Out of curiosity, why was in the newspaper anyway?

He's graduating FDNY this month and his Dad was a fallen firefighter on 9/11. Basically, the newspaper wrote an article about him and 2 other probies who lost loved ones that were Firefighters.
I guess its that whole fantasy thing, we broke up, he became a firefighter, I work emergency response...yadda yadda....
But I know deep down I would never leave FH for someone who I dont even know really anymore. Its a long story. Him and I were together for a long time, went through alot both our dads dying etc. Just alot of water under the bridge I guess...

I think it's nice to think of people in your past sometimes and you can wonder - so long as you don't long for or regret! Life is all memories once the moments pass and you will remember other people at times and you will make your new memories with FH. If you were passionate about someone else once - it is a good thing - because there is nothing in life better then knowing love or passion, even heartbreak in some ways - just remember to always look back at memories as just that and not to long for things gone or regret your past acts or ommissions!

Damn Skippy....I think its better to be able to look back and say wow...we had something good. But its over and I am totally ready to take on a new life with the person I am with now.
Its funny, because him and FH are alike in so many ways lol.

The ex always has a way of creeping back in there. Sometimes I wonder about what would have happened if we got back together and I didn't give my FH a chance because I was too hurt from my ex. I thank my ex for breaking up with me and leading me to FH. When I was with my ex, I thought he was the one, boy was I wrong.

Yes, i think we all think of our exes....
mine was from England... and last month informed me that the only reason he stayed in America as because he thought him and I would have achance, but that once he saw and met fh and realized how amazing our relationship is.... he felt like he was 'Chasing a ghost'... me being the ghost...
he also said he thought fh should beat him up. I guess its a european thing...however, he and fh are fine and fh said that any guy who is honest with the girl as well as the fh, and then leaves to go back to his 'homeland' is a 'noble' man lmao....
but at times my friends ask 'do you ever think of what would be if you were together?' (they all loved the accent) and I always say the same thing...'Well, if we broke up in the first place the what if would be what would our lives be if we settled? which means, i wouldnt have been happy'

That is so true!!
We all think about the what-ifs from time to time - it's completely normal. I had an ex (sorta an ex, because we were never official) of mine get in contact with me a few months ago. Long story short, it was the guy I was infatuated with before FH, and FH and I were talking as I was with this other guy - FH and I were like best friends at first. So he knew all my feelings for this guy and all that lolz. Eventually I found out my ex was talking to another girl and I was really hurt by it even though we weren't really official he was kind of leading me on ..anywayz..I deceided to give up on him and FH kept pursuing me so I gave him a chance..so now the ex was telling me how he would look at my profile and webpages and saw what a great man FH was and even though he realized he messed up and knew that he really wanted to be with me, he saw how happy I was and didn't feel he deserved me anymore. He's a really great guy though, and we get along fine and we talk now as friends..;but its just intresting!!
I believe everyone - boyfriends, friends..etc..are all in your life for a certain period of time for a reason..they help us grow and find out who we are..and sometimes we grow in seperate directions. It's certainly fun/interesting to look back on people from your past though!!
