FH gave me an early Xmas gift!!

Well, actually, an early Xmas / Anniversary gift since our 2 year anniversary is on Jan. 10th. It might seem silly to some people, but it was expensive as all hell, and I have been bugging him to get a new one, so....

He bought me (or should I say us really) a new bed!!! The one we have is years old, and stiff as a board, and he knows I've been having trouble sleeping and waking up with back pains, and he's been having neck pain lately.

So when we were trying out different beds, he said to me 'I have to take care of my baby, I know you've been in pain and having trouble sleeping, so if a new bed is the answer, then that's what we'll get.'

I know it's not a romantic gift by any means, but I still think it is the best gift ever!! (next to the e-ring and him giving me himself of course!!)

yay!! enjoy it!! i can understand why you're so excited! we got a new bed about 6 months ago... and it really does make such a difference a new bed and some nice soft sheets and your good to go

When FH and I 1st moved in together, neither one of us, believe it or not - had decent bedroom furniture!!! He lived in a 1 bedroom apt and slept in a futon, and had bunkbeds for his girls. I was moving so much, I had no furniture and just used a mattress. We used my mattress after we moved in together.

One day, I came home from an all day conference.... to a WHOLE new bedroom set! Bed, dressers, cabinets, nightstands - he ran out to IKEA as soon as I left that morning, and put it all together ALL day - it was the best gift I ever received!!!

aww I think that IS a romantic gift, he got you exactly what you needed and wanted. Very sweet!

That's pretty similar to us!! I had a futon in my old apt and he has the bed that we sleep on now that was a hand me down, so Lord knows how old it is!! (My futon is still in my old apt, my brother uses it as a couch)

nice gift. Hey, it is romantic he wants to make sure you are comfortable and the more you are in bed the better for him.
