My FH has been 'unofficially' offered a promotion at work that will have him schmoozing contractors. He mentioned that one thing he would do would be play golf with these guys. Would a nice set of clubs be an appropriate gift? I would kinda like to get him something more personal, but I have no idea what. This golf thing just popped in my head.

For our engagement I bought my FH golf clubs and a bag, and he was so excited. I don't think I could've gotten him a better gift. I think it would be a great wedding present!

My FH is a golf-aholic...if he didn't already have a good set, I know he would have LOVED one for a wedding gift! Definitely go for it!!

I think new clubs, and a lesson is a great gift. My FH just got new clubs a year ago, but I know he wants a new bag.

just to warn you...If FH is an avid golfer...DO NOT pick out the clubs yourself!! He should do it...You could get him a gift certificate to a golf store (there is a great one next to/side of Broadway Mall)
but if he is like my FH and me...you want to try out and test and make sure everything is the right size...
