So I'm on the phone with FH and he gets a call from a 1-800 #. Says they've been calling so I say just answer it. He calls me back and says it's this magazine company who he signed up with. A couple of years ago through his MasterCard some stupid telemarketer talks him into signing up for some stupid magazines. Apparently he's been getting like 8 magazines a month and I had no idea. The whole time I'm thinking this has just been coming off his credit card and it'll be over soon because they wouldn't let him out of it. They called him to say he owes them $1,200. Are you freaking kidding me???? I am sooooo angry. Who signs up for this stuff. Uhhhhh and then I try to call the number to go off on them and it's a non-working number. Why are some men so damn stupid?!?!?!?

Not a scam. This is legit. I just can't believe they want all this money for f-ing magazines!!!! And I can't believe they won't let him out of this stupid contract. I am so gonna go off on these people when I get them on the phone. My FH does not know how to stick up for himself.....GRRRR!

Actually, I said it wasn't a scam, but it is because they got him to get into this contract over the phone. I'm just hoping that I can somehow threaten them and get him out of it. Anyone ever been in a situation like this before?? I can't get over it......$1200 for magazines. You know how many books I can get for my classroom for $1200? Ugh, I could kill him!

ughh 1200?? Tell them that he isn't authorized to make contracts over the phone because he's 12 years old.

FH once signed up for one of those get rich selling products online schemes. Suffering from insomnia one fateful nite, the commercial got 'em! The next morning, he mumbles, 'babe, I charged $200 to the credit card.' After I tried to smother him with the pillow, I called the company and stopped the order b4 the charges went thru. He's not allowed to use the card anymore...
Men are nuts! But we love them, right??

Oh he's lucky he's not living with him or I just might do that. I might just have to take his credit cards away from him and teach him how to say no. Apparently I'm the only one he knows how to say it to. But yes, I still love him!

They had already put it through so now he has to wait and then dispute it. Just what we needed in the midst of wedding planning. Ugh! But it's nice to have someone out there to vent to so thank you!!
