We would prefer a second floor apartment if possible, but also it has to be what we can afford because of the wedding.

Ask jonas9281 if she still has her apt available... shes renting the 2nd floor apt of her house... its a 2 bedroom and looks beautiful! Fh & I were going to take the apt from her but we had timing issues and needed it sooner than she could rent it out...
ETA: I think its rented bc the pics arent in her album anymore... but you could still FM her

There are a bunch on craigslist... also if you go to mlsli.com they have rental properties now too.

Check Apartments.com, there are a lot listed there, also the Fairhaven and Fairfield apartment complexes have a number of areas at various prices

Re: FH I need to start looking for Apartments
I have lived in two apartments since I moved to Long Island and one was from the Garden City News and one was from the Pennysaver. You should also look at Newsday.
I have looked on Craigslist both times, and nothing panned out for me there. There is a lot of selection though.

What area are you looking in? A friend of mine at work has a two bedroom apartment in Ronkonkoma. It is actually first floor though.
