FH is a dope

At this point it looks like we may not meet our minimum. He had an old friend who he hasn't seen in awhile and she hasn't responded yet. I told him to casually call her and then mention if she was coming. The dope writes this in part of an email to her.
'Coming down to the wire, still a lot to do. Speaking of, we were wondering if you and David will be attending? I know the RSVP date is still a week away but we're getting a lot more no replies than we anticipated and i think we're gonna be short on our minimum.'

No, I was just on the phone with him and said, OMG I read your email. Why the hell would you say that? He says, there's nothing wrong with it.
Ugh, first of all I told him to call. An email is impersonal. I told him now he just got us another no!!!

I just read this to FH and his response was to shrug his shoulders like it's not a big deal. I would be annoyed too I were you. Oh well, at least it's his friend he said that to.

sometimes u gotta spell it out for people. lol... i wouldnt be too upset. especially if its gonna help u to meet ur minimum
