FH is driving me crazy!!!

I am sure most of you ladies know what a tight budget I am on. And you all know how this wedding process is hard. Trying the find the right vendors that fit you...and on top of all of that I am trying to find the cheapest ones with the best quality!!

Everytime I bring up another vendor and their pricing (i only discuss the low prices with him) All he can say is how expensive it all is and how we dont have the money for it!!!

Never mention how long it took me to find the vendor or how many vendors I have to go through to find the cheapest one!!

Never a thank you or you're doing a great job just thats too expensive blah, blah

Sometimes I think what did he think was going to happen when he asked me to marry him??

Aww, I'm sooo sorry! I think men just don't realize how much goes in to planning a perfect wedding and finding the best quality for the best price. It's almost like they're programmed not to want to be involved in wedding planning (even though some FH's are very involved, many are minimally involved or only involved when the future wives ask them to be). Sorry FH is making this tough and not showing appreciation. He will be amazed at what a spectacular wedding you put together when he sees everything on your wedding day!

my Fh was the same way. he was a little sticker shocked. I was doing most of the research so it wasn't news to me how much things cost, but it was to him.
maybe sit him down and show him the budget and how you are making things fit. he should appreciate you!

how about before showing him the vendor you found with the best price, make a list of a bunch of vendors and their prices starting from highest to lowest, so this way he can see for himself what the prices really are like and that infact you did find a great deal. SOme just dont understand what certain things cost.

For example, for photographer, get quotes from many photographers even the quotes girls post on here of what they are paying. Write it down on a sheet so he can see for himself and say 'look i contacted all these vendors and here are their prices' then when he sees the price you are trying to get it for he will think very differently, and the price will look great in comparison to all the others.

Im sorry!! You are doing a GREAT job and we all know how hard this whole thing in...throw in a tight budget and it gets 100% harder so I really think you are awesome!

Guys have no clue what goes in to planning a wedding...heck, I had no idea until I started and at times I was like 'wow this is a lot!' Maybe just tell him how you feel and continue to make compromises. Don't make yourself too crazy. As much as we all want our wedding to be perfect, it is only one day in the grand scheme of things, so try to not make yourself crazy with getting it perfect....it will be perfect whether it is in the Bourne Mansion or at town hall.

Aww sorry you're having a rough time. I did too in the beginning until I brought him to a showcase that one of the halls was having. It was like a mini wedding and he saw everything that was involved and started to understand what is what. We're still arguing about flowers now - he doesn't get it. Hope things get better!
