I am Greek and Orthodox and fiance decided that he wants to convert and be baptized orthodox so we will have a greek orthodox ceremony and raise our future children greek orthodox. I am so proud of him, we are meeting with priest later tonight and his baptism is Saturday!!!

My brother did the same and all I remember was him standing in the water pot in his bathing suit and giggling.

Aw, congrats! Which church are you using? My dad is Greek Orthodox, but my Mom is Catholic, so I was raised Catholic. We go to the orthodox church for the holidays as well, though. Did he have to take the classes?
Although we are getting married at st Demetrios in Jamaica queens, we live in jersey so we are using a church here in toms river, we love the priest, we didn't have to take classes, he gave fh a chapter book explaining the religion and then we met with him to have a tour of church and he answered any ?'s fh had :)
