Some of you may recall that my FI has been in Albany since February in the New York State Trooper Academy. It's been a really tough 6 months for both of us. The Troopers are very military in their training - and he had to really dedicate himself to completing it. I'm proud to say that he graduated in the upper portion of his class - - and he's home! He'll train in Riverhead for 10 weeks, and then work in Westchester as his first assignment.....then back to LI as soon as a transfer position is approved (probably about 18 months).

And today is his birthday! We're going to the Crescent Club for a nice dinner!

Well first off, Congratulations!!! to you and your FH.
I can relate to what you've been through. My husband is also a trooper. I've been waiting for him to come back home to LI. He's finally coming home after almost 3 years.
I know it can be rough at first but it is a truly wonderful experience. We couldn't be happier. My husband truly loves what he does and takes pride in all he does.
