My mom asked me yesterday to start giving her at the least my bm's e-mails and phone numbers....although I know we are NO WHERE near shower time for me!

Although when I clicked on that link a damn thing popped up that was claiming to be a spyware cleaner wouldn't go away (they are usually spyware and viruses on those things)

Leslie, I am sooooo happy someone has finally gotten off their butt and contacted FH about the guest list!!!!!!

I am glad too except now I am faced with a predicament. My sisters and mother will more than likely be helping the BP both physically and financially with the shower. From the get go, when we were first engaged, I told everyone I didnt need a fancy thing in a restaurant - that a simple brunch with bagels and coffee would do. I am money conscious myself and my bridal party has children to raise, mortgages to pay AND my family has their own financial obligations to themselves and their families.

SOOOOO one of my sisters asked me how many people were on my list, and the number is high. I am trying to find where I can cut people without offending or alienating anyone. It isnt easy - good luck ladies. I can't cut people fom FMIL's list with out FH asking her first. I think it is best to cut people from the list who would have to travel a distance AND feel obligated to give a gift as well. Even when I DON'T go to a shower, I always send a gift. I don't want to put someone in that position to start with. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I am so happy that things are starting to happen. I know you are worried about the financial strain, but try not to stress too much. Most people are aware of the financial responsibilities of being in a wedding party. At least this is what my bp has told me! I agree that if you have to cut people, cut those who would have to travel a far distance.
