FH needs a job!!! VP Marketing.
Ok, so back in October my FH got laid off out of the blue. He got a decent severance package so we were ok for awhile (we live together). He decided to work with 2 start-up companies....well one fell thru a few months back, and the promising one that had a great future just shut down!!! We are paying for our wedding so things are tight. I am in the process of getting my own business up & running so he was the main bread winner.
Now he is talking about getting a job in the city...we live in the Hamptons so the commute would be ridiculous...plus i know he hates the city. He has already sacrficed and given so much for me to follow my dreams...i want him to be able to do the same.
So i guess what i am asking is, does anyone know of any VP Marketing (not sales) jobs on LI....it can be a start up or a well known company.
He has around 18 (not sure) years experience and has worked in the video game industry, eyewear, digital cameras, technology (thumb drives) and others....he's not picky about industry as long as its a challenge. He has experience with press releases, media- radio & television interviews, large budgets...and he is great at what he does and works his butt off. He has traveled the world for previous jobs and doesn't mind it.
Sorry this is so long, it's just he's been down about it and i don't know how to help him. He's used to taking care of me and I can tell this is killing him. I told him I'll work at McDonalds if I have to...would you like fries with that shake???? see I can do it!
