FH story...

He keeps getting annoyed at me whenever I reference MY shower...He's like: 'It was OUR shower and those are OUR gifts...'

True, while the gifts in the end will be for our life together, the invitation said: 'Come to a shower for BMD'SPEANUT!!!' and that was it...

What is wrong with him?!

wouldnt' it be funny if the invites actually said that for your name?

tom was a little annoyed that he didn't get a shower, but i did...but then again, he'd have hated to sit around with his friends and open up gifts for 2 hours....so he didn't mind all that much

just tell him, once you get the pots and pans and dishes, you'll be more than happy to shre them with him and let him make you breakfast in bed everyday

I'm actually working on that right now...Normally I like this sort of thing, but lately I feel that it's quite a dreadfully large undertaking...I did tell him that he must go through all the cards with me to see all the good wishes people wrote to us...

Oh and don't get me started on the addressing of the cards! Many guests wrote his name on the cards..What's up with that!?

I say that if a guy wants the shower to be for both of you, then he should open all of the gifts with you and wear the ribbon hat at the end!

DH and I were both fortunate enough to have office showers as well as a family/friend shower and so he did get to have a shower of his own and I actually went to it and conspired with his boss to have a ribbon hat made for him. I can't wait to see the pic of that one!

Try this book, it was the best $7 I spent for the wedding.

I got soem cards liekt hat oo. Mostly from his family. he was more than happy not to go. He had pizza with my dad & the helped him get ready for Shower part 2 as I liek to call it, when my close family came back to my mom's house & and men & women were reunited. He saw most of the gift opening on video. he hates being the center of attention, so he is more exited that we now have the chesse grater & beer mugs he wanted!

ps- my moh sent me that bookNora posted- it's alittle old fashioned, but pretty helpful.
I actually have a few more Ty notes to do right now. ( going into work late)
