I wanted to make menus for our the reception about 2 per table. How hard would that be to do? He says that I'm getting myself into too many things at the last minute. I don't think I am I think it'll be pretty easy. anyone who has made menus, please help me what kind of paper do I use? Any other tips on making them would be great!

You can make them very easily.
Use either Microsoft Word or Publisher.
You can use either invitation paper you can find at Staples or even just a heavier or textured printing paper...that way you can use a different color other than white if you'd like. We used a 28 lb textured paper for our programs.
Depending on how proficient you are with either Word or Publisher, it should probably only take a few hours to fine tune the typesetting and print them.

I had my calligrapher do my menus. How large are your tables? I did one per person and had them put on the plates. If you do 2 per table make sure the font is large enough to read from a few seats away.

I made 1 per person....and I used MS word. I got cardstock paper from staples...some vellum and some ribbon to make the bows. It wasn't too hard. Here is a sample...I have made some changes to the final one...but you get the idea.
