FH thinks my friend is spoiling things for me on purpose!!

A few weeks ago my friend and I were trying to pick a Saturday to make plans - when I suggested June 3rd, she said, 'We can't, that the date of your shower.'

I got angry because I knew how hard my mom and sister were working on the surprise, and I happen to love surprises.

My friend claimed she had no idea that bridal showers are surprise parties and apologized.

NOW, she told me the details of my bachelerotte party again claiming she had no idea it was supposed to be a surprise.

She is older than me and has commented on the fact that she can't believe I beat her to the altar, so FH thinks that she is spoiling things for me on purpose.

I'm still a little pissed at her. I could hardly beleive the first mistake, but then she does it again!!!!

Definitely sounds venegeful and deliberate to me, unless your friend just gets really ditzy sometimes?? One of my bm's called me before my bridal shower and asked me if she was supposed to bring a gift

i'M sorry to hear she ruined it for you. I do have to say that in other parts of the country showers don't tend to be surprises (my MOH is from Texas & no showers are a surprise, I actually helped her to plan parts of my shower, but again that was my choice b/c I don't like surprises).

In any respect at least you can wear what you like, don't let her ruin your day.

Looks like we're not only wedding date twins, but now shower twins as well.

Thanks, SweetCin. I guess I should look on the bright side of things. I actually felt worse for my mom and my sister. They worked really hard on trying to make this a surprise, and I don't want them to ever find out that it was ruined for me so early in the planning.

I will just fake being surprised. I'll be sure to send my good thought to you on our shower and wedding day!!!!
