FH & $$ VENT!

My wonderful FI just informed me that he hasn't paid his credit card bill for 2 months..why?...because he 'doesn't have it'.
I have the $$, ask me!

UUURRRGGHHH!! His credit already stinks, I want to buy a house one day!!

Does his nasty credit affect me once we tie the knot??

PO'ED!!!

Once you are married, they will look at your combined credit to get a house, unless your credit alone is good enough to qualify....

You should handle the bills from now on...JMHO

i know what you mean - i think its a guy thing. if i couldn't afford to pay a bill this month - i would have no problem asking him....i don't get it...

yeah - all jokes aside - maybe you should take te responsiblity of bill paying once your married. no sense in finding out the electric bill has not been paid when your trying to turn on lights in the dark.

oh honey thats terrible - for a few reason
because of the credit
interests rates

I am so sorry give that boy a kick in the butt

I had the same issue with my FH. That is why we now have a joint checking acct and I pay the bills. That way I know everything is paid on time and everything is getting paid.

FH has horrible credit too! We are working right now on getting a mortgage, and it will be in my name only. Luckily I am an anal bill payer so I have perfect credit

He didn't even make the minimum payment? Let him know that is certainly better than nothing.

His credit will affect you once you are married.

the only way his credit will affect yours is if you apply for something together

My Fh is in the mortgage bussiness and knows alot about credit

that *****. my fi is the same way. he just doesn't get what they look at when it comes to credit rating/house buying. he doesn't think they care about missed payments. uh, HELLO??? eesh!

i'd take the advice given here & take over the bill paying once you guys are married. jmho.

Thanks guys! I think I may take over the bills immediately. Why wait 6 months when we could get back on track right now.

Our situation is the same. It drives me up the wall though. This week he was taking $ out & taking $ out & never thought to mention it to me. Big surprise when I went to pay our bills URRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

OMG my FI did the same thing...ended up taking out $50 extra in one week for this and that and didn't think that it would cause a problem when I went to pay bills. I almost had to take his debit card away from him
