FH Vent!

FH Vent!

Okay I was doing really nice labels in order for us to mail out our save the date cards. I told FH that I wanted him to go over his and his parents list twice and add or correct anything I typed.

I printed out the set of 150 labels and I think they look really great.. those that I didn't have their address (we're hand delivering those that we see regularly) I just put their names (Mr. & Mrs. Whomever) neatly on the envelope.

I just found out from FH two things that I am so mad about.

First he hand written on the envelopes and mailed out 8 save the dates already- this makes me mad because I want everything nice and neatly done so it won't look cheesy.

Secondly I find out that he left off like 5 of his co-workers AFTER I printed the labels out.. now I have to reprint like two pages of the labels of 6... grr. He still hasn't called me with the information on those people and I leave at 5pm today.

Don't you just hate when FH just doesnt' do what you asked (a simple task).

i got annoyed about something similar and then i realized my label program lets me choose which labels to print.

perhaps you can do that to save on the lables?

FH hand wrote 3 of our STD's as well... and it looks like a 6 year old did it... i was annoyed and went to redo them when i saw his sad puppy face and realized he was just trying to help.

it's his wedding too, and while i know why you're annoyed, don't let it bug ya too much.

actually believe it or not, all etiquette books and all that say that hand-writing it is the best option bc you actually took the time out to write them yourself.

Alot of them actually are against labels, i wont get into that bc theres been debates about this lol...not saying what you have to follow, your choice just showing that what Fh did wasn't wrong

EVEN MORE ANNOYING_STD _RELATED

I had just under 50 std packages going out, I went to the PO to hand cancell them, I sent them on JUNE 16TH & noone has recv'd them yet According to the Post Master nothing can be done about it b/c there is no way to tract it, and they cost 97 cents each to be mailed,

I also got that puppy dog look from him and yes it also looked like a 6 year old did it since I know how his handwriting can be.
He didn't tell me he was going to do it though and yes I got a bit mad at that. It would have meant (had I not found out) that people would have gotten doubles.

Unfortunately I tried printing only those labels we need and it came out bad so only option is to do them all again.. also I just hate how he called me (after looking at the list 10x last night) to add on three people he 'forgot'.

I decided on labels because imo it was fast and easy for us... peel and stick..lol

I'm just anxious for them to go out and that people get them and nobody says 'gee it was tacky how they hand written it looking like a 6 year old'

i hand wrote my STDs cus of this- but i have decently nice hand writing. I think it def depends on what it looks like. I think I may get my envelopes printed so it appears nicer.

Re: FH Vent!

I was originally going to get someone to hand write them (my handwriting is not bad but I can't see myself sitting and writing out 175 save the dates) but I thought that the labels were nicer.

Sad thing about all this - I can't stay mad at FH and he just called me with a really long long apology.

she's right, handwritten nowadays means a lot, bc everyone just exports their guest list to label format for their printer~ i know ppl that pay $5 per envelope just to be handwritten since they don't have time but want to 'pretend' they did take it out for each~and i'm not talking caligraphy just plain ol' handwriting! wish i was rich! LOL!
