FH vent...

fh i love you so much but i hate having to tell you how to dress every day of the week....

why dont you learn how to iron your clothes so you stop looking like a wrinkled mess?

why dont you ever ever ever polish your shoes? i bought you that shoe polish set for a reason!

why wont you let me bring your pants to the tailor?? you look like mc hammer


ugh girls i got into a huge fight w/fh this morning...and i think it has to do w/the convo my mom and ihad last night...she made a comment as to why dont i press fh's shirts? honestly the iron and i are enemies..i hate ironing clothes....i bring all our button downs to the dry cleaner, but honestly they dont do as good as a job.

he needs to learn to press his own shirts..i'm as busy as he is..if not more sometimes....

why don't you buy a steamer?? might be easier than ironing his shirts!?

i know..i felt bad bc i was fighting so much over shirts...we do need to invest in a steamer or something better...he's exposed to clients all day...of course my mom goes to instigate and says 'dont u know that everyone is going to think you're a mess bc you're sending your husband to work looking sloppy??'

I HATE the fact that some people expect you to treat your FH like a child. He's a grown man! He can iron or steam his own shirts. Its not your responsibility. It is the same as those women who say, 'Oh my husband is so great (or such a jerk) because he does or doesn't help me with housework.' This is NOT the 1950s. Husbands and wives usually share housework equally. It is not the 'wife's responsibility' while the husband simply 'helps'. Ugh! Vent over.

It s*cks that so many people are still in the mindset that it is your responsibility to press his clothes and make sure he looks presentable.

Haha my dad, too! He actually has this little purple spritzer which is pretty fruity looking. But it really works without soaking your clothes!
