FH Vent!

So FMIL texted me today to ask me if we wanted to come for dinner tomorrow night. Being that FH has worked the night shift allll week and the only time I have seen him is when he climbs into bed late at night AND he is going to Vegas Saturday morning for 3 days....i really wanted to stay home, cook dinner, maybe rent a movie and hang out just the two of us. So i texted her back exactly that. And she wrote back that she understood. So I just got off the phone with FH and he is like 'who gives you the right to say no without asking me?' I thought i was doing something nice!!! I was planning like a stay-in date night! He's like 'well i'm going to my mothers for dinner with or without you.' For some reason he thinks I hate her, when i really dont! UGH i really do not like him right now. I started to cry a bit because he was being so mean so I told him I didnt want to talk to him anymore and hung up.

I tried and he doesnt hear me! He said 'well you don't like her so of course you dont wanna go.' He doesnt hear what i say.

just be really mature and dont get into the fight. Dont call him and if he calls you like *** just be like, 'sweetie..... I wanna go but i cant cancel my plans' And let him be pissed. My FH sounds very similar. Very hard to handle

Well thats just it...the plans are easily cancelled because we are just supposed to hang out the two of us! No plans if one of us decides not to show up!

That's very frustrating...I'm sorry you're in an argument with him...Try and get him to see it from your perspective.

Explain that your intentions were good and sweet, and that you just wanted to spend some quality time with him because you'll miss him this weekend.

Also, make sure he knows that you were respectful in your communication with his mom, so he doesnt misjudge you and get the wrong impression.

OMG FMIL's always starting ****! Whatever be smart and pick your battles! This one let him win he's being dumb anyways and there are going to be bigger fish to fry eventually
