FH vent- maybe I am being overly sensitive

Here goes:

My Fh is a big photography nut, he has an almost professional camera and has taken classes and the whole nine.

He always gets on me when he takes pictures of me- saying he hates when I pose that natural pictures are so much better and real. I would agree if the so called natural pictures he took of me came out looking decent- instead they are pictures of me with my mouth hanging open, or with my face in a plate of food, you get the picture.

Anyway this weekend we were looking at pictures we took at a wedding and he said to me- We take boring pictures and I take the same boring pictures with the same pose. He said this in a not so nice way. I was really upset. What constitutes an exciting picture????

One of my male friends says that he totally agrees with what he said to me.

I am so ****ed I do not want to take another pic with him again.

Am I being too emotional about this????

I think he is being very critical because he's not happy with the photos he is taking.I don't think he meant to insult you.Ask him to show you what type of pictures he is hoping to capture so you can see what he is talking about.Ask him not to take the pictures of you when you are eating and stuff though.

I think all men are very unfair at times and don't know when to think before they speak..

My minor in school was PHOtography so we have a different way of looking at pics then other bc of the classes we took..

But I feel if my face is in the pic its EXCITING!!

I am a brat today!!!

I say the same things to DH. I like candids, he likes posed.

I doubt your FH means to be rude to you, he is just expressing his disatisfication with the photos he has.

Next time, take one candid and then one posed to make you both happy :D

I kind of have the same problem, my fi tells me that I have a fake smile in pictures. I have no idea what the heck he is talking about. It drives me crazy when he says this, he even told me that I better not do this in the wedding pictures

Nah, I wouldnt be upset. But next time he takes a pics of you flash him, that will shake pics up for him.

hahaha Wacky - I like your take on this the best...
But, I definitely don't think he was saying it to be mean... maybe he was just having a bad day and was having a hard time trying to express himself - so, it just came out like that.
