He can't keep it from me haha He just told me he is taking a couple days off after Christmas (he NEVERRRRRRRRRR takes off) and asked if I wanted to do a mini vaca together since our 4 year anniversary is the 28th =)
He suggested Foxwoods but I looked it up and its sooo expensiveeee :( We did AC and Mohegan already, so we wanted to try FW for the firs time.
Anyone have any good ideas about a mini getaway? We were thinking just staying a night or 2 since NYE is that week too and we might be renting a place out, so we'd have to be back :)

if you want to keep with the casino theme, Turning Stone in Syracuse is nice. Its about 4 hours, but it was nice to get away!

Head up to the catskills, rent a cabin or even stay in a hotel, head to the mountain, and ski/snowboard!!! And then at night time, cuddle up by a fireplace w/ hot chocolate!

awww how sweet!!!! boston is fun if you want to drive about 4 hours. The prob is EVERYTHING gets expensive that time of year.
funny how men cant seem to keep secrets..,.my FH ruined the engagement because he slipped!!! so i knew when it was happening

Ah! I know, thats the only thing, its so expensive bc of Christmas and NYE!
AHH well I knew he had my ring for a while, so it wasn't really a surprise with that part, but he did get me good when he asked me !! lol

Plus turning stone has deals with weekdays that if you stay sun to thurs you can stay for free for one night I'm close to there and I go for one night and its free

Do you snowboard or ski? FH and I went upstate last year for valentine's day weekend and stayed at a really nice B&B. We had a blast!

Upstate has a really nice ski resorts.. Plus my FH works for one with making ice sculptures so I could possibly get you some free lift tickets we do that ocasionally and will be in feb!

I 2nd the idea of either going up to Boston or going somewhere like a ski resort or lodge. You can gave a really relaxing romantic weekend at a ski resort snuggling up by the fireplace!

fh and i loveee the glen cove mansion in the winter for a quick getaway
its got an indoor pool and hot tub and theres restaurants and pubs there
prices usually arent so bad
i know it snot in ct but it mgiht be an idea

its a bit of a drive (8hrs) but Niagara Falls (canada side) is amazing in the winter!!! It is soooooooo pretty and really cheap...there are great wineries and there is Niagara on the lake which is a beautiful little town with restaraunts and stuff...There are also casinos up there! We love it! Its on the Canada side so it may be very cold in December...but me and FH are like two Polar Bears hence the December wedding lol! Check it out!

Stroudsburg, PA. It's less than 3 hours Camelback Mountain is right there (with a brewery on the way up) plus tons of little shops and stuff--we found an awesome candle company store Camelback has awesome snow tubing adn great skiing we stayd at this really cute inn Click me to see Inn super cute and dinner and breakfast were included. they have rooms in the inn as well as cabins Cute fire!!!
OR the Seth Warner Inn in Manchester, VT, super cute town, skiing close, lots of outlets but set up like a town not like tanger. it's where we got engaged
