FH wedding band

What's the best material to get for FH's wedding band. He uses his hands a lot and I won't want the ring to get all banged up. Any suggestions?

I can't see spending a fortune on a platinum wedding band for FH in case something happens to it while he's at work, so we're looking into titanium rings.

I thought it was the opposite way around? I assumed white gold was less scratchable than plat. I could be wrong...

but yes..the price on Plat. def. went up!

Dhs band is titanium-he does tile and stone work and never takes his band off and it has taken quite a beaten since then

white gold is less scratchable... when FH was shopping for my er-ring the jeweler told him that platinum is 'softer' than white gold (thats why platinum scratches easier), but its also more durable. bascially the jeweler told him that white gold is mixed with other stuff to make it white in color and that makes the material harder. Because its harder material, if you knock your ring into things too much it'll shatter, instead of bend. think of white gold like glass, when glass is hit too many times it'll just shatter... whereas platinum is softer, so if you knock it into things it'll 'bend' and still hold in your diamond.
