Re: FHs bachelor party is this weekend...
I am a little confused...those who say 'this is the worst part of getting married' If it's the 'worst part' why have one? If you are not comfortable with it, then your FH should respect that and decide to do something different. Personally speaking, FH and I will not be having a bachelor/bachelorette party - we feel we are not single, there is no need to celebrate 'our last day of freedom'. We had this talk before we got engaged and while we have been engaged. Neither one of us agree that strippers should be part of anything. This works for us and I am happy he understands and respects my feelings. I think the worst part of getting married, is getting lost in the whole wedding planning. You're getting married to share in your love and commitment to one another.

that is awesome that you and your FH have similar ideas and wishes on this topic! (im jealous :) ). our bachelor/bachelorette parties aren't really with the mentality of 'last day of being single' because we have been together for 4.5 years so it has been a long time since either of us has been single.
although my FH was willing to hear my concerns and try and make steps to make me feel comfortable this weekend, - there was no question he was having a party whether i wanted him to or not. there are certain beliefs about what a bachelor party is supposed to be and for those who are not married or have not been in a seriuos relationship over the past 4.5 years (as most of his friends) and these boys are using this as an excuse to get out of control because it is what is 'expected' given movies and stories.
I know that my FH will not jeopardize our marriage for one weekend, but that doesn't mean that i am not going to be somewhat nervous and in a rush to get the weekend over with
edited because i didn't want to come across as mean and wanted to make sure it wasn't misinterpreted

Oh honey, I know you aren't being mean. Believe me, I understand what you mean when you say how the single guys want the big blow out of the bachelor party and make it that way from the way the media exposes of how its 'suppose to be'. For an example, which can make you feel better - FH's cousin had a bachelor party (before I met him) about 4 years ago, and all the guys had gotten him strippers, and needless to say the groom walked away because he was not interested in this. When FH told me this, I said 'what a man'. Till this day, I know NOT every groom wants this but it kills us brides to even think of this scenario. I say keep yourself busy as much as you can so you can keep your mind off of it. Sounds easier than it exactly is, but I am sure your friends can keep you busy too. I wish you luck and strength! Don't worry -he wouldn't risk his marriage for something that is only for a couple of hours.

Where's he staying? I'll keep an eye on him for yah - I'll be there this weekend. If he starts getting rowdy I knock him down and say 'Hey, I'll tell Lauren on you if you don't stop'
i tried to get his sister to get her friends and put on wigs and scope things out... i have never been to AC but they are going out at Harrahs on sat night and staying somewhere on the marina- trump marina? i think
If they are going to Harrah's then they are going to the Harrah's pool party. I went there a couple times. Last summer we went for my friends bachelorette party. I don't remember anything that bad happening. By the end of the night we all ended up in the pool with our clothes on though lol. We were drenched Now that we figured out exactly where he is we can set a stalking mission
i can almost guarantee that he and his friends will end up in the pool- in fact i would be willing to put money on it
stalking shouldn't be too hard because they will be at a vip table with bottle service and it will be like 20 guys
although i think i am more concerned about the day in the strip club and room activities (although he promised me that they would not have strippers in the room)
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh strippers in the room!!!!!!!!!!!! That is what they surprised the groom with last weekend. I flipped out. However, just so you know there is a 99.9% chance that they are absolutely DISGUSTING and have 3 teeth. I know that doesn't really help, BUT the guys ended up making them leave because they were awful.
adam swore that he told the guys that it is not acceptable to have them in the room but who knows if they will listen and i was dead against it because some very very very inappropriate things went on at his friends b-party in AC when they had strippers or should i say hookers in the room..
Ohhhhhhhh yeah they are RAUNCHY. HATE THEMMMMMM. I would like to abolish all women who do this for a living. Disgrace to humanity.
I completely agree!!

Re: FHs bachelor party is this weekend...
i agree! im the WORST with those :( my FH has been to so many, and the last one he was at, half of them 'dont remember' what happend! they kept a secret from all of their fiances and gfs and then someone leaked that they got a stripper ON THE BUS. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh I was so mad at him. they also all had a 'pact' but god knows what happend. My fh's bach is in august up at saratoga, I have been having anxiety about it since he told me! that was months ago!! ughhhh! have a girls night with your friends and try not to think about it!
