FH's Father

I know its annoying, did you try talking to him? is he walking down the aisle? if not then i wouldn't worry about it cuz then he doesnt really have to coordinate? or have FH talk to him...hope all goes well!

fathers can get whatever they like they dont have to match the bp so its really not that bad we took our fathers and told them to pick whatever they like. The only thing we said is not to get a shadow strip tux bc that is what Fh has. But as far as the color or anything else they went with what they liked best

all he had to do yesterday was get fitted for his tux....so easy...you walk in, you give them the paper with the group number, they measure and you leave! not him...he chooses not to get the solid tux we picked out, but the pinstripe one!!!! is he kidding???? why can't he just listen to us....GRRRRRRRRRRRR

call the rental place and switch to the one you want tell them you changed your mind and want the solid color one, and that he got confused

does it bother you that much? if so then i guess tell him to change it otherwise i would just let him stick with what he likes best and feels comfortable in. Its a big day for him too and he probably just wants to look a certain way. My dad spent an hour picking a color for vest and tie and it drove me nuts but in the end i wanted him to love the tux he was wearing

i don't think i'm treating him like a little kid by asking him to order something we discussed. i felt like he went behind our back and changed something knowing it's not what we wanted. of course i want our parents to wear something they feel comfortable in, but not at the expense of our opinions. i guess FMIL agrees since she's taking him back today....

well if you discussed it with him and he was game then he should've called to tell you if he wanted something different. He probably just got to the tux shop and once he saw the pinstripe he loved how it looked and wanted that, i dont think he meant to go against you think he just went with what he liked and didnt mean to cause a problem.

I don't know, i personally didnt discuss with the parents what they should wear. I went with my mom and FMIL shopping but didnt give them my opinion, i told them dresses that i loved how it looked on them. I loved one dress for my mom, they didnt have it in the store we went to it was sold out, but she saw another dress and she loved it. I wanted to tell her if she wants to try another store that will have the dress i was looking for but i let it go and just let her pick what she liked best. Same with our dads, my dad kept asking me what he should get and i said just get whatever except shadow stripe lol only the groom will wear that. So as far as knowing how it feels to go against what i told somebody i have no idea, even FH preferred something else rather than the wing tip collar that i liked but i let it go and just let him pick which collar he liked best.

how forward are you? I'd pick up the tux I want and drop it off. here you go!!! (handing) and hope then he gets the picture.
