i went to see him last week and feel in love with the milgrain design. he said he would get back to me asap with prices which he did today.
so he told me 28points or 1/4 carat would be$1500 not really sure how big this band would be. and for a 49points or 1/2 carat with a 8mm band would be $1700
so today at lunch i go to zales kays and macys. they had way better prices!!!!
the jewler didnt even tell me the clarity of the diamonds!!
i know gold has gone up but come on am i wrong? should i be smacked??!?!?
where else should i look for a good price!! that band is the band i want !!!!

Honey....did you tri tri-county?
I got my wedding band at Turkan Jewelry which has micro pave diamonds for $600. Of course FH got two bands, none with diamonds, but I got him a plain one for everyday work and a nice engraved one for going out and those together cost me a total of $600.

its a beautiful ring!!
FH's jeweler in teh diamond district gave us similar prices for my wedding band....sooo....we are still looking around.
if i come across something ill let you know. but i think you are better off just shopping at the mall stores and getting something on sale. gl!

I second that!! I feel like FH's jeweler is trying to rip you off!! He wants way too much!! Definitely shop around. You could try Kay jewelers in the mall too, they have good sales!

We are using the jeweler who did my e-ring. She used to have a booth in the diamonds district, but she focuses on wholesale diamonds/jewelry and private clients, based on referrals. Her office is in one of the buildings in the diamond district. Let me know if you want her info.

How about Jared's? I felt like I got a better price there than from a custom jeweler I was going to go to (and for the same exact ring none-the-less).
